‘Asho’ to compete at Vesoul filmfest

The 2022 Vesoul International Film Festival in France is scheduled to host Iranian documentary ‘Asho’.

Directed by Jafar Najafi, the film will vie at the main documentary competition section of the event.

The 30-minute documentary narrates the story of a boy, Asho, who shepherds a flock of sheep.

Asho’s biggest dream is to become a Hollywood star. He is under the influence of the Hollywood films that his cousin brought him.

The documentary has so far grabbed awards from various international film festivals.

Established in 1995, the goal of the Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinemas is to promote the cinema of Asian territories through cinema.

The 2022 edition of the French fest is scheduled for February 1-8 and the list of the competing films will be announced soon.
